WHO KILLED GANDHI?

It was 2nd October, till an hour back. Gandhi was born on this day, and sadly has died once again for a whole year. Its just the jingoistic me, which is pouring out. I was keeping track of our national media today, and a sad reality has slapped me on my face. The ‘father of our nation’, now is just another picture on the wall with a smiling face!

Gandhi does not appeal young Indians any more ‘cus he ain’t Jim Morrison? This dude didn’t grow long hair, wasn’t a womanizer, didn’t smoke weed, didn’t wear flashy clothes and jus didn’t swear with all his might and curse the world for the way it is! That man spent his whole life trying to get us to realize the potential we had within ourselves… and no points for guessing we adored the west!

What disturbs me more after hearing and reading stuff about this legend is that we Indians don’t give a fuck about him anymore. And what is more, most of us are being influenced by the individual opinions being portrayed by media in a wrong manner. I am sick of hearing people who say they have started hating Gandhi after the saw the movie on Bhagat Singh , starring Ajay Devgan. I mean, did anyone even try to probe deeper into the matter.

I have a whole lot to say, and probably will write more on this issue in coming days. People I will be grateful to you if u share your opinions on this subject too.

But before I end, just think about this…. Gandhi has faced DEATH…. But lets not make it a DEFEAT!!!

MAine Gandhi Ko Nahin Maara is out now. I wouldnt say that the media has completely forgotten the guy.

Oh and by the way, its completely redundant comparing Gandhi to Morrison. One was a non violent freedom fighter who helped a nation overcome odds and win independance, the other was a musician. IF you want to look at influence points id say Morisson had more simply BECAUSE he was a musician. Theres no argument really.

amen to u!! u made my day. . somehting ive kept telling people and still keep telling them... u literally stole words off my mind. .
im so happy u wrote this blog. .
yes, gandhi was much more than wat the common people know him as. . if u go deeper into the lives, works and ideologies of this man, u cant but feel that he was the closest one could get to an ideal human being. .

like Albert Einstein said at gandhiji's grave,

"Generations to come, it may be, will scarcely believe that such a one, as this, ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth. "
